Fuji Electric announced the change of frame material and lot marking for the TP3 series control relay socket.

Change of materials for the frame production
TP3 series control relay socket includes the following type: TP38X, TP311X, TP38S, TP311S will be changed on the frame material and the lot marking form. The materials used to manufacture the product frame will be converted from PPE resin to polycarbonate resin.
Polycarbonate is a thermoplastic resin polymer. This is a synthetic resin in which the structure of polymer molecules is strongly bonded and difficult to separate, making them a stronger and more stable material than PPE.
Change on lot marking form
Regarding changing the number of digits used for the lot marking, the TP38X, TP311X: from 3 digits will change to 5 digits, and the 2-digit TP38S and TP311S will change to 5 digits.
In lot marking, the previous model TP38S and TP311S’s Panel mounting side will be reversed from below the lot marking to above the lot marking.

Reason for changes
To standardize materials with TP5 Series sockets for miniature control relays and to standardize lot markings with HH2 Series control relays that use these sockets.
