Common errors of FUJI Inverter and How to fix them – Part I

Hao Phuong would like to send to customers solutions for some errors related to overcurrent, over voltage or phase loss on Fuji Electric inverters. Hope these helpful information will help you solve the problem, use inverter more effectively.

  1. Overcurrent  – OC 1

Possible causes

The output is short-circuited

-Remove the terminal (U, V, W) from the inverter output, check the resistance between phases, check when the resistor is too low.
– Remove any parts that make a short circuit.

Mass loss from inverter output

Remove the terminal (U, V, W) from the inverter output, check with MegaOhm gauges..
Remove any parts that make a short circuit

Loading too heavy

Check the motor line with the test device, record the signal type.
Use the information to consider if the load is larger than the design. If the load is too heavy, replace the larger inverter.
Check the line placement of the current, if there is a sudden change, replace the larger inverter.

The acceleration or deceleration time is too short

Check whether the motor start has enough torque during acceleration or deceleration.
Moment is calculated from the moment of inertia of load and acceleration and deceleration time.

Large noise signal caused error to the inverter

Checki the installation of the inverter in accordance with the working environment conditions.
Taking the appropriate anti-noise solutions.

Invalid motor parameter settings.

Check the motor parameter function.
Installing properly with the nameplate of the engine.

 

  1. Overvoltage  – OV 1

The input source is larger than the motor parameters.

Check input voltage.
If larger, reduce accordingly.

Due to an interference pulse affecting the source

The power supplied by the filter capacitor when turned off or opened or when the thyristor is switched off may cause interference with the input source.
Install additional noise filter at the input (DC reactor).

Deceleration time is too short in combination with load

Recalculate the braking time from load parameters and braking torque.
Changing brake time.

Overload capacity.

Compare the braking torque of the load with the inverter.
Select the small discharge resistor attached to the inverter.
Replace larger inverter.

Large noise signal causing error to the drive

Check the installation of the inverter in accordance with the working environment conditions

Could not connect the resistor

Check if the braking resistor attached to the drive is correct.

The braking resistor is attached to the terminal (P +) and (BD)

 

  1. Undervoltage – LU

Possible causes

Instant error

Reset the inverter.

The voltage of the source does not match the parameters of the inverter

Check the input
Increase input voltage to match inverter parameters.

The circuit is faulty or the connection is faulty.

Check input and output

Pressure drop due to external load

Check the input voltage and check the voltage variation.

The starting current of the motor causes a voltage drop due to insufficient power.

Check input voltage, check capacitor

 

  1. Input phase loss  – L in

The power cord is broken.

Check input.
If the wire is broken, change it.

The terminal screw of the power and inverter circuit has not been tightened yet

Check and tighten the screw.

An imbalance between three-phase or three-phase voltage is too large.

Check input voltage
Replace larger inverter.

Overload often occurs.

Check the ripple of the rectifier circuit.
If the ripple is too large, increase the filter capacitor.
