Common errors of Fuji Electric inverter and How to fix them

In Part 5, we learned about the connection errors and hardware errors. Continuing the series of common errors on Fuji Electric Inverter in this part, Hao Phuong would like to send to customers the solutions to fix the communication error (CAN bus), error of speed control and error related to the charging source.

  1. Erb – CAN bus comunications error

Possible causes

Due to Error in actuator

Checking for the connection between the drive (Y24) and Host. Adjust it properly.

Due to Hardware failure of Host, operating system or configuration

Checking for the Host
Fixes.

Due to Connection loss or unstable connection of cable

Checking for the cable

Replacing the cable

Due to large noise signal caused to inverter

Checking for the installation of inverters in accordance with working environment conditions.
Taking appropriate anti-noise solutions.

 

  1. OS – Over speed error

Possible causes

How to check and fix

Engine configuration error

Checking for the correlation when installing P01 and L02
Setting the P01 to match the engine characteristics
Setting the L02 to match the accuracy of the encoder
Testing for the F03 function (Max Speed)

Due to large noise signal caused to inverter

Check installation of inverters in accordance with working environment conditions.
Taking appropriate anti-noise solutions

Checking for the cable, the external speed controller noise.

Using anti-noise cable or twisted-pair cable for control signal connection.

Checking for the noise from the inverter if it affect the noise for the motor speed.

 

  1. ErE – Out of control speed

Configuration error

Checking for the  L90, L91, L92 function installation.
If the amplitude of the variable speed is within the allowable range, set the L90 function to 0
Check the relationship between P01 and L02 functions.
Set P01 suitable for engines
Set L02 suitable for encoder

Due to overload

propose solutions for output currents
Less load
Check if the mechanical properties of the brake unit have been activated

Due to Output speed cannot be increased by the current limit

Checking for F44
Changing the F44 to match the process requirements, or lightning up to 999 if speed is unlimited
V / f routing test is correct with the  F04, F05, P01 and P02 Installation function
Changing V / f routing to suit the engine

Engine parameters error

Checking for the settings of P01, P02, P03, P06, P07, P09, P10 and P12 function to match the engine.
Set P02, P03 to properly and automatically control the inverter.

Connection error of encoder

Checking for the wire.
Go back to the terminals P0, PA, PB, PZ and CM
Checking for the return path of the signal from the encoder to meet the conditions: When the drive runs with the FWD button, a sharp pulse ..
Transmitting signals between termnical PA and PB

The connection to the motor is incorrect.

Checking for the wire to the motor.
Connecting the terminal U, V and W of the inverter corresponding to the terminal U, V, W of the motor

The Amplification of the speed controller is too large or too small

Reconfigure L36, L39

  1. OE – Over torque error

Output of inverter is lost

Checking for the connection of inverter output (U, V, W) to the motor.
Checking which parts lose the connection.
Checking for the terminal

The connection between the encoder and option card is broken

Checking connection
Check the terminal

Too heavy Loading

Measuring the current of the motor and record. Checking if it is suitable for the design. If it is too heavy, replace the higher frequency inverter.
Checking if there is a change in output current, replace higher level inverter.

due to Time to accelerate and decelerate too fast

Checking if the motor moment is responsive during acceleration or deceleration.
Recalculate the moment of inertia of the load with acceleration and deceleration time.
Set larger acceleration and deceleration time.
Replace higher level inverter.

Wrong motor settings

Checking for the engine parameters (P function)
Fixing the motor parameters according to nameplate

The motor’s polarity is wrong

Change the number of poles

  1. PbF – Charger circuit fault

Possible causes

How to check and fix

1

There is no source of magnetic start, short-circuit resistance load.

Check the input source by inserting a 1-phase power into 2 pins R0 and T.
Check the connection wire.
